VR2BG Brett will talk about "the biggest threat to the ham radio today" |
 |
Brett Graham, VR2BG ((better known to many by his second given name Alex) was very active from
Hong Kong for several solar cycles. From the late 1980s to 1999 he was president of Hong Kong's
equivalent of a national amateur radio society. For three years, he assisted IARU Region 3 Monitoring System coordinator VU2UR. Continuing on from his previous presentation at APDXC
2008 on the scourge of over-the-horizon radars, Brett will talk further about the biggest threat to the
amateur service today - intruders - from his experience trying to do something about them. What
are some of these signals we hear on the bands and what is really being done about them? |

The World Radiosport Team Championship (WRTC) 2010 held in Domodedovo, near Moscow, was a smashing success. Andy Chesnokov, UA3AB, who took on the role of a co-chairman, will tell us the success story of the WRTC 2010 Russia. |

Ham radio in Azerbaijan - by Natig 4J5T

Natig Gasimov, 4J5T, is not only a very active ham in Azerbaijan but also the president of the Federation of Radio Sports of Azerbaijan. As a DXCC entity, 4J/4K may not be too rare, but very few
hams in the world know about Azerbaijan itself and the activities of radio amateurs in Azerbaijan. Don't
miss this very rare chance to hear directly from the president of the amateur radio organization in
Azerbaijan. |
